Opening: It’s Great To Be In New Jersey, a group exhibition, and Loud Flash: British Punk on Paper from Toby Mott @ Honor Fraser, July 16th

“Honor Fraser is pleased to announce It’s Great To Be In New Jersey, a group exhibition curated by Gardar Eide Einarsson and Loud Flash: British Punk on Paper, The Mott Collection, curated by Toby Mott. An opening reception will be held Saturday, July 16, from 6 to 9pm.”

“Loud Flash: British Punk on Paper is a compelling portrait of a particular moment in British popular culture, at the bitter end of the post-war period. It tells its story through a unique collection of several hundred posters, flyers and other ephemera assembled by artist and erstwhile punk, Toby Mott. Toby Mott was born in London in 1964, and lives and works in London. His collection was recently exhibited at Haunch of Venison, London and MUSAC Contemporary Art Museum of Castille and León, Spain.”

“It’s Great To Be In New Jersey, a group exhibition curated by Gardar Eide Einarsson will include works by Christopher Wool, Albert Oehlen, Banks Violette, David Ratcliff, Linder, Raymond Pettibon, Wolfgang Tillmans, Oscar Tuazon, and Bea Schlingelhoff. Gardar Eide Einarsson lives and works in New York and Tokyo and has recently had solo exhibitions at Bonniers Konsthall, Honor Fraser, Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art, Reykjavík Art Museum, and Team Gallery.”
