Machine Project Projects Screening
MOCA Grand Avenue, Ahmanson Auditorium
MOCA is proud to host the world premiere of Machine Project’s first film on the final day of The Artist’s Museum exhibition. In a single day, Machine Project documented dozens of performances, lectures, workshops and activities, which they coordinated simultaneously in the gallery at Machine Project, in the apartment above the gallery, and the basement below. The day-long event included an experimental women’s choir, a drum solo spilling out the second story window, a parent-child car theft workshop, a talk revealing secrets of Los Angeles’s occult netherworlds, and a demonstration of paleolithic fire-starting technology.
