From the release:

“(Venice, CA) C.A.V.E. Gallery is pleased to present “Remix Every Second” – a two person exhibition featuring Danish artist Morten Andersen and Italian artist Vesod Brero – two exciting artists who have been pushing creative boundaries, developing a unique, futuristic style that is rapidly gaining worldwide attention. Each artist harmonizes classical painting techniques with the freestyle of graffiti art. The twisting, geometric works in this show reflect the rhythmic tension and constant state of flux of today’s universe.

MORTEN ANDERSEN

Morten Andersen has developed a fresh, stylized painting technique, governed by a bold intuition and impulse. Nothing stands still. As a viewer, one is seduced and drawn into the futuristic, dynamic universe of Andersen’s work. The pieces emanate a confident, well-shaken cocktail of both classic and innovative modes of expression. Crisp shapes mesh, overlap and twist around each other; forms vacillate between sharply defined elements that rhythmically become transparent and dissolve – resulting in canvas masterpieces that appear in motion and breathing.

VESOD BRERO

Vesod’s paintings, on the other hand, represent frozen moments in time – entangled and linked with the present and future. The perception of time is a fundamental concept in the artist’s work. Time – a nonspatial continuum – is captured in three dimensional space. The artist encapsulates figures in complex, layered, crystallized fractures in an attempt to capture an eternal present.

Vesod’s artistic attitude has been fostered by his father Dovilio Brero, a surrealistic painter whose influence has had a significant impact on Vesod since his youth. Alongside direct exposure to Renaissance art and Futurism in Italy, Vesod also took interest as a teenager in the graffiti world in the beginning of the 90s. Mathematics, the subject Vesod earned his degree in, has also had an important influence on the artist’s work. This can be recognized in Vesod’s focus on harmonizing anatomic proportion and futuristic dynamics.
