awww…. there’s nothing cuter than children assaulting adults. took me a bit to get into the new Black Keys album, it’s got an AWFUL lot of Gary Glitter/T. Rex influence to it, but i’ve grown into it and it’s pretty fun to shake your ass to. (yours, not mine. there’s nothing fun about shaking my ass.) Black Keys are playing the Hollywood Palladium on Monday, September 27th. (tix here)
so this video is full of tattooed girls in swimsuits who fight all sexy like over a puppet dinosaur, which is somehow supposed to make an “ironic comment” on the present state of viral marketing thanks to the seventies’ pornesque subtitles. hiiipppppssstttteerrrrrr swwwwwiiiiiinnnnnnneeeeee!!!! just because you say something is ironic doesn’t make it ironic. (the new album “Brothers” comes out May 18th. pre-order a $40 special edition at the Black Keys’ site here. you know, or don’t. i could care less one way or another what you do with your life.)
For those of you who didn’t check out BlakRoc when it dropped on Black Friday (you should have because we warned you), here’s your chance to watch a pretty amazing performance by The Black Keys with new buddies Mos Def and Jim Jones. They were on Letterman this past Tuesday, 12/8.
