Amazon’s Sweet Deal: FREE Indie Music Sampler Bonanza.

April 15th, 2009

sub pop collection

Yeah... Sub Pop's offering one too. Click the pic to go straight to it.

This is worth sharing with the world: Amazon has about 12 free sampler albums to download, all chock full of indie music. Of course I can’t download any of them right now being that I’m in South America and Amazon will only allow me to download while in the states… But I’ve taken a peek at the bands and they have TINT’s seal of approval.

Here are a few of the artists up for grabs: The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, Ra Ra Riot, Death Cab For Cutie, Mates Of State, Fleet Foxes, Blitzen Trapper, Iron & Wine, the Vaselines, Flight of the Conchords, Dr. Dog, Hawthorne Heights, Broken Social Scene, Black Tambourine, Bright Eyes, Rilo Kiley, Tokyo Police Club, Evangelicals, Bon Iver, Okkervil River, Jens Lekman, Neko Case, N.A.S.A.

Explore the best of indie music and download free samplers from some of our all-time favorite labels. This is the good stuff folks, so don’t miss out–dig through the back catalogs of these top-tier indies, and discover the quality that make these labels stand heads and tails above the rest. Check back in the coming weeks for even more free samplers from some of the greatest indie labels in the world.” – Amazon.

Very cool. Excited to grab all of these when I get home so I can wax rhapsodic about all the sweet indie bands that you’ve never heard of.
