Cap’n Jazz had pretty much one album, Analphabetapolothology, but it’s a must listen and i really can’t recommend them more. Jonathan Yeo’s ‘Porn In The USA’ opens to the public at Lazarides‘ Beverly Hills pop-up location. he does portraits of famous types by using collages from cut-up porno mags. ’nuff said. it’s a day thing, from 12-8.

swoon. jesus satan finds himself in love, and oh cruel fate, how is it possible that it has struck twice in the same place!?!? which of sweet home Chicagoans Moneypenny is jesus satan to choose? also known as DJ Mother Hubbard and DJ A-Cup (ha!), these two lovely female disc jockeys got IT goin’ on in SPADES with both looks and talent. tonight they’re doing a “special performance” (i.e. cat fight over j. satan) at La Cita for Dance Right’s weekly Thursday night sexcapade. (bonus! you can download a grip of their Spandexxx series of live mixes for free here. you’re welcome!) Kingdom, Taliesin and Chico Sonido round out the talent pool.

Jesus Lizard – Panic In Cicero
old-school punk bands from Chicago equals awesome. the unstoppable force of Jesus Lizard singer David Yow were legendary in my hometown, ao don’t waste this chance to see them since they broke up a while ago because they were old and not making any money until that Touch and Go anniversary show got ‘em back together but who knows for how long? hitting the Henry Fonda tonight.
