suh-fucking-weet… this is too amazing for words. good thing, too, because i’m a pretty bad writer. tonight cinema maestro Ennio Morricone directs a complete orchestra through renditions of his amazing film scores. security at the Bowl is pretty lax since you can bring in wine and food and stuff, so feel free to bring a pistol in case some gringo is lookin’ atcha wrong. (*SORRY FOLKS, GUESS THIS WAS CANCELLED. OH WELL, NO ONE ACTUALLY READS THS SITE ANYWAY.)

i love Kylie Minogue and no, i am not gay. her electro pop stuff is pretty fantastic for mainstream sugar, and i can never hate on anyone who guested on Nick Cave’s near perfect Murder Ballads album. she’s making her big time debut at the Hollywood Bowl tonight, and i think everyone should go. mostly, though, i just wanted to post this cause the flyer does something awful to my loins.

Creedance Clearwater Revival – Born on a Bayou

Imagine a fireworks show directed by Michael Bay and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Now take out all of the horrible planning, half-assed ideas, illogical thoughts, and the deaths of innocent people as a result of 9,000 roman candles being pointed in the wrong direction… and you will get a sense of the scale of this extravaganza. This is Hollywood after all.

From July 2nd through July 4th, The Hollywood Bowl will be hosting their annual spectacular fireworks bonanza with special guest John Fogerty. The classical rock crafstman behind Creedance Clearwater Revival. They will put on a show, trust me.

the debut was right here at the Hollywood Bowl a few years back, and now Video Games Live returns from its world tour tomorrow with a show at Hollywood Bowl Lite aka the Greek in Griffith Park. it looks pretty suh-weet, although tickets are a hefty $55. but if you go to Goldstar HERE you can get them at half price up until a few hours before the show tomorrow. see you there. watch for the guy playing with his joystick.
