Stuntkid’s pretty girls in comic book-stylings portfolio is one of jesus satan’s absolute faves, and a group show featuring his sexy candy-colored ladies is going to be too good to miss. as a bonus, four other lumniaries in the field are showing their illustrative wares. respective sites: Stuntkid, Nomi Chi, James Flames, Eliza Frye, JJ Villard, and the show goes off Saturday, February 20th at Miss Scarlet in the Parlor, 1282 W Sunset, 90026. (Villard is also showing tonight at Gallery Nucleus’ Zombies In Love show, with other pieces from a whole grip of good folks. zombies and love, how could it go wrong?)

Wow, thanks to Peter Nidzgorski’s always great tumblog: This Isn’t Happiness for introducing me to Iain Macarthur’s work. The style of portrait sketching combined with ink and computer graphic retouching works wonderfully. The future is now kids! (oh FYI he’s 23, bright future? nahh beginner’s luck)

Ahh another hometown hero. Alejandro Fuentes, aka Los Fokos, is a born and bred Los Angeleno who still lives and works in the city. He has an amazing eye for color, impressive technical skillz (a lot of these images appear to blend photos and drawings seamlessly), a list of A+ clients and an even more impressive portfolio. Came across Mr. Ansin after hearing about the new Stanley Kubrick exhibition: “Taming Light,” (check the info on facebook) taking place at the Light House Cinema in Smithfield, Dublin next month. He created the AMAZING poster (below) for the exhibit, which will showcase new painting, photography and illustration related to Kubrick and his films. Once I saw the rest of his work I became an instant fan (more imagery after the jump):

I was poking around my old bookmarked links and noticed Sir Mike added some new work to his website (check it out, it’s incredible and worth your time). He’s a wildly talented painter with a sly sense of humor… a rabbit leading a rabbit with a carrot? A bird using a jetpack? A person dressed as a squirrel walking a dog?

Miss precoce feroce, WTTD’s own lovely win0, previously bragged about her own Mike Mitchell purchases a while ago. Time to go back to his shop, he’s on his last run of T-shirts and new posters have been added. More imagery after the jump:

amazingly clever political art slash satire from Ms. Zina Saunders. there is plenty more great stuff in her portfolio on a variety of topics, but she seems to have found a particularly exceptional muse in sarah palin, so i’ll mostly post those. i am part of the liberal biased media machine, after all.
