David OReilly did some neat Lady Gag 3D animation portraits. there are more from the series here (click on “view fullscreen”) and some very, um, ABSTRACT ones that were rejected here. also, here’s some weirdness from his Sesame Street/Aniboom’s Animate to Educate animation contest entry (vote for the winners here). i think we can take a stab in the dark and wish him our condolences for not winning. also also, check out a fun little animator protest to Sesame Street here.
this song is kind of half-assed, but there are some words of wisdom as always from chanteuse Amanda Fucking Palmer (semi-formerly of The Dresden Dolls). in Miss Fucking Palmer’s own words, “…i’ve been meaning to write that blog on lady gaga but this was faster and more to the point. i wrote it right before recording it and had to read the lyrics off the screen, thus the no-eye-contact. sorry. also sorry about the bad lighting. i need a better flashlight. mostly i will do anything to avoid practicing tchaikovsky and this is proof.” Lady Gaga still sucks, though. (that last part is in jesus satan’s own words.)
my favorite is when someone in the foreground is rocking the devil’s horns while she’s singing “Ooh hoo, Ooh hoo…” sorry, world, i just don’t get the Lady Gaga. i love pageantry as much as the next guy, but isn’t she CRAP, right? am i the only sane man in an insane world?
it couldn’t have happened to a nicer couple. only two weeks after being announced, Kanye West and Lady GagGag are calling it quits. their “Fame Kills” tour has been canceled. no comment on why. from Live Nation, i mean. i’m sure there are plenty of comments from other folks.
Kanye West & Lady Gaga are going on tour so they put together a shitty promo video. I guess this is their attempt to “transcend” to a higher art or something… All I know is we’ll definitely be getting a hot slice of fashion pie:
A TRUE ARTIST
-I really like #3: “the muppet gloryhole”
-And Eminem’s face, “soo am I still the controversial one?”
“Taylor Swift represents everything that is wrong with show business and the arts. We must respect Kanye West and his neverending quest to express his true self to the real world. He is genuinely trying to transcend fame, pop culture, and the arts. No one will ever understand him. He is truly the most artistic person in the world, and when he goes on tour with Lady Gaga, we will finally experience art that is on the same level as the greats like Andy Warhol, Michael Jackson, and Michael Jordan.” – Carles on American viewpoints of the “interruption scandal!”
Here’s the video, Pitchfork deemed it NSFW but there’s really nothing to see and it’s very short:
