it couldn’t have happened to a nicer couple. only two weeks after being announced, Kanye West and Lady GagGag are calling it quits. their “Fame Kills” tour has been canceled. no comment on why. from Live Nation, i mean. i’m sure there are plenty of comments from other folks.
this song is totally a big shitty whatev… i don’t know about you, but when i used to play my 8-bit NES, i turned down my TV and listened to some real music, i.e. fucking Metallica, so this whole 8-bit soundtrack resurgence thing is kind of getting on my nerves. nonetheless, what’s absolutely insane about this video is that this is all done in the real world with real legos. the band, Rymdreglage (whatever the hell that means… damn Norwegians and their goofy swedish meatball names) claims that it took more than 1500 hours of physical work, which is about how long it took me to beat Metroid. if only i had spent my time as wisely… nahhhhhhh, then my childhood (early twenties) would have sucked… (thanks, 40fakes.)

THE STORY OF ANVIL is playing tonight at the Fairfax Regency Cinema 3 on Fairfax and Beverly … i’ve been wanting to see this movie real bad cause it’s all uplifting about not giving up and all sorts of flowery shit like that sort of like American Movie that everyone was bonkers over until everyone involved faded back into obscurity.
