as previously mentioned, The Sounds are in town, and there is an after party tonight for my birthday at La Cita with a DJ set from the band, as well as DJ Jeremy Dawson of Shiny Toy Guns. no one involved actually knows that it’s for my birthday, but they’re happy to do it just the same.

once again Dance Right at La Cita (336 South Hill St) is getting a shout out for their killer flyers. no idea who the Cosmic Kids are, and this video looks like they were involved in the worst hipster swine party ever, but all that matters is that there is free entry, cheap hipster beer and a nearby redline stop, anyway.

Amazing! Mr. Callahan creates classy imagery for his own, Barf Comics as well as clients such as Obey, Toxico, various skateboard companies, clothing companies and musicians. If only we all had the sensibilities to create slimy booger creatures and make a career out of it, the world would be a better place, and offices wouldn’t be so gun-to-your-head-earth-tone-neutral.

Eyyo eyyo, attention y’all, attention: This weekend (March 21st) at Cinespace in Hollywood there is a CASH ONLY sample show along with an after party with J.Rocc/Shortkut/Coleman/and some other DJs I never heard of. Basically you go to these things, you try to look fresh because you will be amongst a throng of sweaty, hipster swine, you look at shit from Obey, Threats, Soul Assassins, Freshjive, Sneaktip and other “NOW” brands and you get shit that’s supposedly on sale.
