Brooklyn Pool Parties! A Free Summer Concert Series.

July 8th, 2009

Hey broke NY music fans! looking for an awesome way to spend your Sundays? Well I sure as fuck got one. This summer, JELLY is producing 8 FREE shows on at the riverfront in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, 90 Kent Ave btw N8th and N9th St. The shows will all take place on Sundays between the 12th of July and the 30th of August, from 2-8pm. And this isn’t what you’d expect for the free shows, this is the good stuff. I’ll be going to at least half of these, so if you want your picture taken, just lose some clothing and play on the slip n’ slide.

Things they’ll have: “DODGEBALL, basketball, DJ’s, bands, burgers the works!”
Things you shouldn’t bring: Click here (funny ha ha).

This Weekend: The Dodos Are Not Extinct at the Northside Festival.

June 9th, 2009

The Dodos – “Fools”

In fact, they are alive, awesome and cheap. The Dodos will be putting on a show for $8 at Studio B in Brooklyn. This is part of the Northside Festival, 4 days of music and art going down this weekend all over BK.  You can pay for a specific show you’d like to see, or you can buy a “badge” that’ll get you into all of the shows AND everyday of the festival you can drink free Heinies from 5-8pm at certain locations AND you get discount food and drinks at most of the venues. Choose wisely.
