i was wondering if Hook was going to take this out on the road… he played Joy Division’s classic Unknown Pleasures album in its entirety in Manchester to celebrate (???) Ian Curtis’ untimely demise thirty years ago. this is one not to miss if only for its historic value alone. (tickets available here this morning with presale password UNKNOWN.)
Cornershop really, really, rah-lly sucks, but this flyer is hella mod-tastic and i know most of you have questionable taste anyways… get your tix here this Saturday at 10am if you’re a lame nerd.
just moved over by the Bowl… party at jesus satan’s! presale starts 10am tomorrow at Ticketmaster here with the password LCD, and KCRW is also having a presale for its members with their own password which is, shockingly, KCRW. (i’d use KCRW, it gives you the most indie street cred.) LCD is the best evah, you won’t be disappointed children of the city of angels…

4) – here’s the new video from Spike Jonze for Drunk Girls. video is amusing but i don’t like how you can’t even really hear the song. i’m sure my opinion matters greatly to Spike Jonze.
5) – this is a three thumbs up show from j. satan. top ten band of all time. highlight of Coachella.
jesus satan prefers his sugary indie pop with a bittersweet under-taste but i know you non-depressed kids out there are down with the Vampire Weekend, so here’s a quick shout out to let you know that the nerdy boys are playing a show at the Fox Theater in Pomona tonight. (ticket link here, though you’ll probably have to buy tickets from the skeevy scalper in front since it’s all sold out suckas.) oh, and p.s., you can stream their entire new album (Contra) on their Myspace page here.
