Ok Go is playing the Music Box at Henry Fonda Theater (get your tickets here tomorrow), and i don’t really care too much about that, but it gives me a chance to post their awesome This Too Shall Pass videos that are such a big deal all over the internets and worlds wides webseses. here is the new one:
and here’s the older one, which isn’t executed nearly as well, but it’s still pretty damn neat.
presales seem pretty fucking stupid for general admission venues, kind of misses the point when it’s not assigned seating or Radiohead selling out some tiny club in five seconds. regardless, there’s a presale today at 10am for Broken Social Scene’s May 3rd show at the Henry Fonda / Music Box. so that’s exciting. really, actually, they’re great live. the presale password is… (whispers) BROKEN. get your tickets here. (hey! i know that goth kid!)
jesus satan prefers his sugary indie pop with a bittersweet under-taste but i know you non-depressed kids out there are down with the Vampire Weekend, so here’s a quick shout out to let you know that the nerdy boys are adding a show at the Fox Theater in Pomona on April 14th. there is a presale for tickets starting at 10am PST today with the password CONTRA. damn i loved that game when i was a kid. Konami Code 4eva. (ticket link here) oh, and p.s., you can stream their entire new album (Contra) on their Myspace page here.
reunited and it feels so fine. i guess that Foo Fighters thing never really worked out, as Sunny Day Real Estate is playing the Henry Fonda / Music Box tonight with all original members. has anyone told Dave Grohl? boy, his bands just never seem to find any success… this is a three thumbs up, highly recommended show from jesus satan. see you there.
nothing like last minute, fellas… Band of Horses brings their indie country swagger to Club Nokia (800 West Olympic, 90015) on Monday, November 9th and there is a presale already going today with the password NIGHTRAINBOW, which makes no sense at all you can’t have a rainbow without the sun sillies. get your tickets here.
The Sounds are sneaking out after dark from opening gigs for No Doubt’s big fancy tour a few days ago at the Gibson Theater in Univeral City to have a secret little rendezvous with their Los Angeles fans. they’re playing a close up and personal show at the Key Club tonight, though it’s likely you ain’t getting in unless you already have tickets.
ok, folks. tonight is the night. supposedly. Nine Inch Nails tickets for their last four shows EVER are going on sale at 5pm PDT. of course, as of right now, NIN’s website is totally down and Reznor’s Twitter is also down. so there is no information whatsoever. good luck, America. you’ll need it.
NIN is hitting the Henry Fonda, Wiltern, Echoplex and Hollywood Palladium in September, and speaking of bids, presale tickets will be available through the NIN site at different times for each show. these places are hella small… information is supposed to be available here at the tour portion of their site, and you’ll need to sign up with YOUR REAL NAME in order to get tickets. if anything comes back up in time, that is.
get ‘em while they’re hot, America. The Killers are playing the Hollywood Bowl on Wednesday, September 16th, and presale tickets are about to go on sale at 10a.m. (as in right now.) password is HUMAN, and the ticketmaster link is right here. (i think it should have been DANCERS, myself… it’s more poetic. and you all know how much jesus satan loves his poetry.)
boobs do sell records, i suppose.... lord knows i posted this pic over a LOT of other possibilities.
The Sounds are sneaking out from in between their opening gigs for No Doubt’s big fancy tour at the Gibson Theater in Univeral City on the 27th and 28th to have a secret rendezvous with their Los Angeles fans. they’re playing a close up and personal show at the Key Club on July 30th, with a pre-sale for the show available TODAY with the password BEATBOX at Ticketmaster here. the rest of the tickets (i.e. none) will be available to the general public on the tenth.
reunited and it feels so fine. i guess that Foo Fighters thing never really worked out, as Sunny Day Real Estate is playing the Henry Fonda / Music Box in October with all original members. has anyone told Dave Grohl? boy, his bands just never seem to find any success… there’s a presale right now here for this highly recommended show with the password: SUNNYDAY. grab ‘em now, America, this one WILL SELL OUT. the rest of the tickets go on sale this Saturday.
