i don’t know who this Rudy Coby dude is but he’s got four legs and a wacky haircut so he MUST be funny. (plus the creepy optical illusion hand thingy in the video above really works, check it out.) tickets here tomorrow.
i was wondering if Hook was going to take this out on the road… he played Joy Division’s classic Unknown Pleasures album in its entirety in Manchester to celebrate (???) Ian Curtis’ untimely demise thirty years ago. this is one not to miss if only for its historic value alone. (tickets available here this morning with presale password UNKNOWN.)
Cornershop really, really, rah-lly sucks, but this flyer is hella mod-tastic and i know most of you have questionable taste anyways… get your tix here this Saturday at 10am if you’re a lame nerd.
i picked a good week to move, there’s not much going on in this beast of a city for once, except the exceptional Zola Jesus who is playing Part Time Punks this Sunday at the Echo. not sure if it’s a show or just a DJ set, either way i’ll see you there. here’s a few other recommendations for the week below:
THURSDAYS : DON’T KNOCK THE ROCK 2010! @ Cinefamily/Silent Movie Theater “TARGET VIDEO PRESENTS: SO CAL PUNK ROCKERS , “Starting in the late ’70s, Target taped punk and post-punk bands in its studio space, in clubs, at parties and on the streets of the world at a time when music television was nonexistent. Their massive performance footage library is a sight to behold — and on Thursday, you’ll be treated to a solid blast of L.A./SoCal-centric clips from their archives: Screamers, BPeople, Suburban Lawns, Dickies, Zeros, Germs, Geza X, Plugz, CH3, TSOL and bunches more!
